What we received

For a small institute, this is a proud moment. But I have always believed that a plaque is not the point. Why a verified listing matters

In my years of training, I have met many students who joined an institute based on a nice advertisement and then found out the reality later: the centre was different, the trainer was changed, the batch was crowded.

That is why I always say: verify first, then pay. A verified listing helps you check three basic things:

1. The address is real. You can walk in and see the place.

2. The phone number and email belong to the institute. You are speaking to the right people.

3. Other students have left their own ratings and reviews. You are not relying only on what the institute says about itself.

How to check any institute yourself (5 minutes)

You do not need to trust my word, or any institute’s word. Here is what I tell every student to do:

1. Search the institute on Justdial and Google Maps. Check the name, address and phone number. Do they match everywhere?

2. Read the reviews properly. Do not look only at the star rating. Look for detailed reviews written in the student’s own words. Read the older ones and the lower ratings as well.

3. Check how many reviews there are, and how recent. A few reviews all posted on one day should make you careful.

4. Visit the centre. Look at the classroom, the computers and how the trainer talks to students.

5. Ask who will teach you. The name of the trainer matters more than the name of the building.

6. Ask what is in the certificate. Who issues it? What does it cover?

7. Attend a demo class. One hour is enough to know if you understand the teaching.

The story behind Karma Education

I started Karma Education in Naranpura because I wanted to teach finance and accounting the way it is used at work, not only the way it appears in a textbook.

My own background is in corporate training. I am a Corporate Master Trainer with an MBA in Finance, and I have trained students and working professionals for universities, banks and CSR programs. I delivered the Ahmedabad programme of the Saksham Bharat project, a CSR Pan India skilling project funded by Yes Foundation and implemented by BharatCares, and I was honoured with the Best Master Trainer Award for it.

Those years taught me one thing clearly. People do not fail in accounting because they are not smart. They fail because nobody sat next to them, patiently, when they got stuck. That is the idea Karma Education is built on.

What learning at Karma Education looks like
